This policy explains our information practices and the choices you can make about the way Riveted collects, uses and stores your information. This Privacy Policy covers the personal information provided to or held by Riveted LP LLLP.

How does Riveted COLLECT and USE my information?
Riveted collects personal information when you:
  • Create a new account. After downloading the Riveted software, you have the option to create a new account. Your first and last name, member name and password will be collected in order to manage your account (required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*)). You may also choose to submit optional information such as your e-mail address, company name, address and phone number. Personal information submitted when creating an account will be utilized for Riveted services including calendar, to do's, chat or white pages. You control whether all, none or some of your personal information gets published to the Riveted White Pages.
  • Sync your calendar, to do's, or contacts with the Riveted server. While Riveted collects and stores your appointment, to do's, or contact information when syncing with the Riveted server, we do not use any of this information for our own purposes. It is only used and seen by you and any other person(s) you give access rights to.
  • Establish a Riveted Public Group. If you create a Riveted Public Group you will be designated as the Public Group's "administrator." When creating a Public Group we request that you provide the name of the Public Group, the purpose of the Public Group. This information will only be used to approve the creation of your Public Group. As the Public Group's administrator you control whether to create a "public", "private", or "by invitation only" Public Group. Access to private and by invitation only Public Groups are restricted to authorized users whom you, as the Public Group administrator, have invited to join the Public Group. While participating in chats, Public Group or other public forums, Riveted cautions you against giving out personally identifiable information (such as names and addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, and driver's license numbers) to strangers online, which they may use for illegal or harmful purposes.
  • Email a friend. If you would like to email a friend asking them to join Riveted, we request your email address, your friends email address and any comments you would like to send your friend. This information is not stored by Riveted and will only be used to send a one-time email invitation to your friend to join Riveted.
  • Contact Riveted with a question or suggestion in which we collect your name, e-mail address and any comments you have. We only use this information to respond to and/or resolve your question or concern.
Technical information
When you visit our Web site, Riveted may collect technical information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. This information (sometimes referred to as "non-personally identifiable information") may include the address (or "URL") of the Web site that you came from before visiting our site, which pages you visit on our site, which browser you used to view our site and any search terms you have entered on our site. This technical data is aggregated and used to measure and improve the effectiveness of the Riveted Web site. We do not attempt to combine this technical data with the personal information we collect on our site.

Do we use Cookies, Web Beacons, or Third Party Advertisers?
Cookies
A "cookie" is a small data file that a Web site may send to your browser and that your browser may then store on your system. We do NOT use cookies. Furthermore, we do NOT allow other companies (third parties) to set cookies via the Riveted Web site.

Web Beacons
The Riveted Web site does NOT use electronic images known as "Web beacons," or clear GIFs to monitor the activity of our Web site. Used in combination with cookies, a Web beacon is an often-transparent graphic image, usually no larger than 1 pixel x 1 pixel, which is placed on a Web site or in an e-mail that is used to monitor the behavior of the user visiting the Web site or opening the e-mail. Third Party Advertisers
Riveted does NOT use third party advertising companies to provide advertisements or allow third party advertisers to track your browsing activities on the Riveted Web site.

Does Riveted Share my personal information?
Unless we have your express consent, Riveted will NOT sell, rent, loan, trade or lease personal information such as account information or e-mail lists to any third party. We treat all information you provide as confidential.

From time to time, we may be required to provide personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. Unless prevented by law, we will notify you prior to the release of such information. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. We may release certain personal information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves.

Do I have Choices regarding how my information is used?
You remain in control of your information. Riveted will not use or share the personal information we collect in ways unrelated to the purpose for which you provided the information without first obtaining your consent (opt-in). You decide whether to publish or remove your personal information from the Riveted Member List. You have control over who may see your calendar, schedule appointments, or send you chat messages. Additionally, at any time you may choose to delete the personal information Riveted stores about you (see below).

Can I Access/Update my information?
Riveted wants your information and preferences to be accurate and complete. You may access, update, or delete your personal information or preferences at any time by logging into your Riveted account.

How does Riveted Secure my personal information?
Riveted uses timely security technologies to secure personal identifiable information that is stored on our network. Only Riveted system administrators have access to such information. All employees are required to sign confidentiality agreements when dealing with sensitive information.

Currently transmission of Riveted data between client and server is not encrypted. Future versions of the Riveted client will have encryption available when transmitting information to Riveted servers.

How long will my information be Stored?
Riveted believes it is important, for privacy and security reasons, to delete information when it is no longer needed. Riveted will store your information as long as your account remains active. All personal information will be deleted from the Riveted service for accounts that are inactive for a period of two years. You may request to delete any personal information stored by Riveted by contacting us at support@riveted.com or by logging on to your Riveted account and selecting "Remove me from Riveted server." All account information will be deleted within two business days.

Will this Privacy Policy Change?
If there are changes or additions to this Privacy Policy, we will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we collect online or offline, how we use it and what choices you have.
